Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

1. Information We Collect

To prepare and file your tax return, Tax Guru CPA LLC collects personal and financial information you provide through our contact form, secure document upload, and direct communication. This may include your name, address, phone number, email address, Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, income documents (such as W-2s and 1099s), bank account information for refunds or direct debit, and other records relevant to preparing your return.

2. How We Store Your Information

Documents and personal data you submit are encrypted in transit and at rest. Each client's files are logically isolated from other clients' data. Access is restricted to the personnel actively working on your engagement. We retain client tax documents only for as long as reasonably necessary to complete your engagement and to comply with applicable recordkeeping and professional-standards requirements, after which documents are automatically deleted from our systems.

3. Payment Processing

Payments for our services are processed by Helcim, a third-party payment processor. Card and payment account details are entered and stored directly with Helcim — they are never transmitted to or stored on Tax Guru CPA LLC's own servers.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to prepare your tax return, communicate with you about your engagement, respond to IRS or state correspondence on your behalf where authorized, and comply with our professional and legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not share your personal or financial information with third parties except: (a) with taxing authorities as required to file your return or respond to a notice, (b) with service providers (such as our payment processor or secure hosting infrastructure) who need it to perform services on our behalf, or (c) where required by law.

6. Your Rights

You may request a copy of the documents you've provided to us, ask that we correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of your data once we no longer have a legal or professional obligation to retain it. Contact us using the details on our Contact page to make a request.

7. Circular 230 Disclosure

General tax information provided on this website is for informational purposes only and is not intended to be relied upon as formal tax advice for any specific transaction without a full review of your individual facts and circumstances.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
